Host your work experience students for the cost equivalent of 2x nights in a Travelodge. Provide holistic mentoring for those who may have never left home or been in a professional setting before.

Why?

Young people from independent schools were twice as likely to have attended 3+ work experiences (35%) versus only 17% of those educated in state schools (Source: Speakers For Schools 2022 report).

£675 for 4 weeks

While some interns may be able to find a temporary solution for a couple weeks, finding accommodation for four weeks becomes even more of a problem.

Moreover the average pay for an intern in journalism is far below the National Living wage, which means temporary accommodations are out of their price range.

Why?
